Welcome to the Gizmos STEAM Lab, a dynamic and hands-on learning environment at Monterey Heights STEAM Academy where students explore the exciting world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) through creativity, collaboration, and innovation.

 

🚀 What Is the Gizmos STEAM Lab?

The Gizmos STEAM Lab is a dedicated space on our campus designed to ignite students' curiosity and empower them as thinkers, makers, and problem-solvers. It is a place where imagination takes flight and learning comes to life through real-world applications and engaging projects.

 

🔬 What Do Students Do in the Lab?

Students in grades K–6 participate in weekly, standards-aligned STEAM lessons facilitated by our STEAM Lab Specialist. Activities and learning experiences include:

  • 3D Printing & Design Thinking

  • Robotics & Coding

  • Engineering Challenges & Makerspace Projects

  • Hands-on Science Experiments

  • Digital Media & Visual Arts

  • Environmental & Sustainability Projects

Our projects are designed to support 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity.
