At Monterey Heights STEAM Academy, our award-winning Gizmos & Gadgets STEAM Lab is the heart of innovation on our campus. More than just a classroom, the STEAM Lab is a vibrant learning environment where curiosity is celebrated, creativity is encouraged, and every student is empowered to become a confident thinker, creator, and problem-solver.
Our mission is to inspire students to ask questions, explore new ideas, take thoughtful risks, and develop solutions to real-world challenges through engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
🚀 A STEAM Experience for Every Eagle
Every student in Kindergarten through 6th Grade participates in weekly, standards-based STEAM instruction led by our dedicated STEAM Lab Specialist. Lessons are intentionally designed to integrate science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics while reinforcing classroom learning through authentic, project-based experiences.
Students collaborate, investigate, design, create, test, revise, and reflect—developing the skills needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Families are also invited to participate in our popular STEAM Family Fridays, where students and their loved ones work side-by-side to explore exciting STEAM challenges, celebrate learning, and strengthen the connection between home and school.
